It's time for my last post of the year! A few weeks have passed since the FedEx guy yeeted this thing onto my front porch. I snapped pics almost immediately, but life got in the way of me editing them, per usual. This is only my second purchase since becoming an RLC member earlier this year. It is also the second time Magnus Walker's Porsche 964 has come around, so I figured I should snatch one while I had the chance.
For it's sophomore appearance, the Urban Outlaw 964 now wears a mint green Spectraflame paint job. The car features an opening engine hatch, that I now realize I neglected to take photos of, to show off its chromed out 3.8 RS-spec 993 motor. It also sports gold fifteen52 this time, as opposed to the silver ones Mr. Walker's actual car wears.
Unfortunately, my car appears to have several small defects and pits in its Zamac body. The Spectraflame paint does no favors for an imperfect casting, and I had to edit out many of these spots from more pictures to keep it looking clean. Other than that, Hot Wheels's execution of this release is just about perfect. All the added on tampos of the Porsche and Urban Outlaw badgeing are perfectly straight, and the headlights have some serious depth to them. The interior features some badass tartan plaid seats too, which I also forgot to photograph... I'm slacking!
Overall, this made up for my RLC disappointment when I missed out on the white Acura Integra which was released prior to the 964. It sold out while in my cart, but the Porsche check out process was a breeze. I wonder if RLC plans on other Magnus Walker collaborations. There are so many great Porsche's in his collection, making them all would be like printing money for Mattel. Still waiting for the McLaren F1 to make its debut, so here's to 2024...
