The Matchbox brand has been around since the 50's and were made in England at that time. I have always loved the regular wheels Lesney era. This small display case house some of my played with original collection and online purchases.
The top portion of the display cabinet includes both regular size and King Size/Major Pack.

The 3rd shelf are the military collections with some of the model most likely but not certain copied from the Dinky brand under Meccano.
During this period a small catalog is part of the marketing strategy to get kids updated on what models are released.
Lesney also released the Roadway series, diorama layout made of cardboard. This is my first exposure to diorama and have love it ever since.
