Max Steel, well, Max Rusty Steel

Chap_in_the_Bowtie

Latest custom, Max Steel from HW. I admit, I wasn't really a fan of this one, but after a little rework, I'm more approving.

Really trying for that excessive heat look on the exhausts. Vallejo Gold Metallic over Molotow Chrome pen with a dry brush of Metallic Blue that is barely even visible. Tamiya Metallic Gray for the motor.

I tried to "fade" the rust down the sides, Vallejo Dark Rust, Chocolate Brown on the lower sides.

Vallejo Light Rust and Orange Brown on the upper surfaces.

Some instrument panel detail, I tihnk Vallejo Khaki or Gold Olive for the dash panel. Wood for the steering wheel outer, and Molotow pen to line the spokes.

I lightly sanded the wheels, for an aged look.

Dirty gray wash on the whitewalls, and some small paint chipping. Ready for the Salt Flats!

Thanks for looking!

Very cool! Did you use accent paint in the door gaps?

Thanks! I used Tamiya panel liner on the hood and back deck, but not on the doors, they seemed to be okay as cast.
