Iron Curtain Restomod

Back in the Kinja era, I posted a photo of an old Siku 911 Turbo I picked up at the flea market. It had been riveted together with the window piece out of place, and it had crap wheels. I reposted when I'd drilled it, added new wheels from a van, and fixed the window piece.

Years later, I picked it up again and "finished" it off with the new wheels from Mattel and fresh paint.


This has taken forever...this toy has been stripped, repainted, and stripped again more times than any other project I've tried my hand at.

Looking sharp! Those Nova rims look like Fuchs, don't they? You also got multiple pics in yr. post, congrats!

Thank you, I kept at it until I was able to load all the images, but I'd have to go through it all over again and take notes if I had to add more because I don't remember what worked
