One of the most iconic car is now revealed. The car which appeared in the 1983 movie ‘Christine’ is about a 1958 Plymouth Fury that is possessed and came to life.

A brief info about the movie tells the story of an unpopular nerd named Arnie Cunningham who happened to spot the car in a yard all dirty and neglected condition. Arnie took the time to restore it back to its near mint condition, but the bully of the school who usually picks on Arnie decided to have fun with his friends by destroying the car. Big mistake as the car restored itself back and driving by itself with blacken windows it becomes the evil version as portrayed in this model as it seeks vengeance on those bullies.

HOW CHRISTINE CAME INTO MY COLLECTION:
The casting is so popular that it was issued under several brands like Hot Wheels, Johnny Lightning, Auto World to name a few. My first Christine car was the Johnny Lightning Darnel’s garage diorama set that I found in Hobby Lobby. Then Auto World announced it was coming out with the restoration and charred versions and decided to place a preorder at an online store. Lastly I recently spotted and bought this Greenlight version in Walmart. The reason why I bought this is because I heard that the Johnny Lightning version is slightly smaller compared to the true 1/64 Auto World.
LET’S COMPARE.
Comparing the Greenlight (right) with the AW (left), it seems the size are nearly identical.

While the Greenlight has separate bumpers that shows off the chrome, AW has the bumper molded with the body and painted silver to simulate chrome on their restored version. However the AW has opening hood while Greenlight has no opening parts.
Checking on YouTube review of Christine that someone posted years ago and I noticed his packaging indicated series 23 while mine is series 24 and you will notice a difference in the size of the plastic where the car is stored.

Doing a bit of research I found out that the hollywood series 24 was released back in 8/31/19. How it appeared in a Walmart store this month I will never know.
Here is the 1:1 Christine.
