Hot Sixty 4th: Iconic Twins part 2

Writer: TJ MatchtheboxTJ Matchthebox

Welcome back to part 2 of the iconic twins as we look at the other  VW Coke bus.

Here is a vintage looking VW bus but with a modified lower stance and larger wheels to give it a modern look.

If you have read my previous post about another VW that has a similar body style you will recognized this model was inspired by Rob3rt Design. They did an excellent paint job with the Apple candy red color. I also like how they used metal for their side mirrors instead of plastic or rubber specially when the connectors are thin. No opening parts.

PACKAGING

Both diecast have acrylic display case.

As to the brand of this diecast, there is no label on the cardboard slip box except the Coke brand. The label on the plastic base incorrectly stated as T1 bus.

When I bought this VW the brand was listed as Flame but there is no detail nor label under the metal chassis which may indicate that this is a knockoff. However unlike the looks and quality of knockoffs back in the 60s where the toys were made of plastic and had some resemblance to the original casting, this VW is a diecast and looks wonderful.
