Here is a classic 60s Volkswagen type 2 bus that seems like it has gone through a makeover. However this bus doesn’t actually exist.
Yes folks, this model is based on a Brazilian digital artist Rob3rt Design who has managed to make something new, something which nobody has seen before.
Rob3rt Design has one of the best track records in the rendering world. He usually works with car models which are popular in Brazil and brings inspiration from the world of widebody tuning.
This bus has been lowered with big wheels and still retain the classic chrome frame for each of the windows, clsssic round headlights, chrome trim and classic side mirrors. It was given a modern look with wide body, spoiler chin, rear spoiler and even has a big non-removable surf board.
This comes in acrylic case and slip cardboard box with the brand name Liberty64.
This comes with rubber tires, a plain metal chassis with no brand or vehicle name stamped on it. The only info you will find is engraved on the base with the diecast brand, the vehicle brand but incorrectly indicated Type 1 instead of Type 2. Most likely this is unlicensed.

Except for the wheels which looked slightly different, it seems like a faithful reproduction of a rendered vehicle but there are now at least 4 real-world builds that have been derived from his renderings, such as this widebody type 2 from SEMA 2022. Photos borrowed from the web.
