Happy New Year 2025. With the ‘Fast & Furious’ movie franchise releasing more sequels it’s no surprise that Hot Wheels was able to release a lot more variety of vehicles including this new casting of the FJ43 Toyota Land Cruiser that appeared in the said movie even if only for a brief period.

Stated as extensively modified J40 in the IMCDB website, the FJ43 is a slightly longer wheel-base than the FJ40. The FJ43 was produced for a limited number of markets around the world until 1984.

This comes with front and back tampo and unlike the modified Matchbox casting which replaced the front and fenders with plastic, this one is fully metal.
Here is a photo of the FJ43 from the movie borrowed from IMCDB website.

Comparing this with the Hot Wheels the casting is not a faithful reproduction specially the proportion between the body and the wheels. However as a classic j40 series collector I still like this HW version.
Every time I turn around, there's a new F&F HWs Series. Well done, of course, but not enough Volkswagens...lol
