Hello Guys and Gals!
I would like to share some pictures about two of my recent cars: Schuco MB 300SL Gullwing and MB 300SL Roadster. Both of them have this lovely champagne/gold colour, and so many small details i couldn't keep up counting!
They look good next to each other. The proportions might be a bit odd, I think both of the cars are running a bit high, and could be lowered to the ground to have the same stance as the real ones have.
The Gullwing one have opening doors, which are a bit heavy so for the proper gullwing stance, I had to glue the doors with Blue-Tec. I think the panel gaps between the door and the roof are quite huge, they ruining the look a bit. For this price, I think it should be managed better.
The interior, though, looks beautiful in both of them. But sure, you could have more visibility for the opening-door Gullwing. The small bits of the roadster remains hidden.
This interior has so much details that you often overlook the smaller bits you have. The doorhandles milled out if super thin steel sheet, the steering wheel is really beautiful, the seat cover is so 60's I can't even believe it!
The Roadster have less oportunity to shine, though it is superior as well. I was lucky to buy one with a hardtop (I don't really like cabrios, but if i need to have one, I like to buy them with closed roof if I have the opportunity), it emphasize the contour well. The small chrome lathes were a bit missaligned, but could be easily set them.
All in all, I don't mind having both of them. They were quite expensive, sure (around 25-30$), but they are crispy and full of details. The Gullwing came out with a purple colour as well, i'm a bit sad that i couldn't manage to buy that one, but I'm still satisfied. Definitely better than the Bang one.
Thank you for having me with these ones.
Cheers!
