My local thrift/antique stores hardly have anything (trust me, I check!) and when they do, they are keenly aware of the value. Went to a local store today, and saw a box with an orange and black cabover and the words "by First Gear". I immediately asked the cashier how much it was, they said it's kinda expensive for a toy truck at $15. I couldn't say yes fast enough! Not sure if I'm keeping or selling it yet, but definitely a lucky find!
For those curious, it's a DCP 1/64 International Transtar COE with 40' Dry Goods Trailer in Jones Truck Lines INC livery. I've always love the DCP/First Gear trucks, they're just way too spendy for me. I'll get more pictures later.
